Breakfast in the South means different things to different people. Some take it as their time to greet the day slowly with a cup of coffee and a simple meal of eggs, oatmeal, or toast. Others lean into extravagant brunch dishes to nourish and impress, like Roasted Tomato Quiche or Stuffed Ham-And-Cheese Croissant Casserole. (My Southern great-grandmother fell somewhere in the middle, preparing around five dozen buttermilk biscuits each morning to feed her family of seven.) Our breakfast traditions run the gamut.

But there is also an intersection where deliciousness meets convenience, and that’s where you’ll find one fan-favorite McDonald’s menu item: the Bagel Sandwich.

First introduced in 1999, McDonald’s Bagel Sandwiches—then, an egg plus protein of choice—quickly gained fans for being a comprehensive breakfast on-the-go. According to New York Postthe global fast-food chain took standalone bagels off its breakfast menu in 2020.

The sandwiches were only available at participating McDonald’s locations across the country, but had garnered a passionate base. In fact, fans went so far as to create a public spreadsheet of where Bagel Sandwiches could be found across the country.

But now, we have good news: For the first time ever, Bagel Sandwiches are available in every McDonald’s restaurant in the United States. Seriously!

The first breakfast sandwich option is the Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagel with thick-cut Applewood smoked bacon, a fluffy folded egg, creamy breakfast sauce, and two slices of American cheese.

The second is a Steak, Egg & Cheese Bagel—a juicy steak patty with a fluffy folded egg, American cheese, creamy breakfast sauce, and savory grilled onions.

And finally, we can’t forget about the classic Egg & Cheese Bagel—fluffy egg, breakfast sauce, and American cheese. Of course, each and every bagel is toasted to golden perfection. McDonald’s also confirmed that the Sausage, Egg & Cheese Bagel will be joining menus nationwide.

This announcement from McDonald’s comes alongside the company’s celebration of 50 years of the Egg McMuffin, their most popular breakfast menu item. There are a couple other breakfast perks you may not want to miss:

• Egg McMuffin Day: On Sunday, March 2, grab a classic Egg McMuffin or Sausage McMuffin with Egg through the McDonald’s app for just $1.
• McDelivery: From March 3-30, get a BOGO Sausage McMuffin with Egg when ordering delivery through the app.
